Luis Aguilera
Born in San Salvador, El Salvador in February,
1973, Luis Aguilera now lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. He
has been a member artist at the Creative Growth Art Center for artists
with physical, mental and developmental disabilities in Oakland,
CA since 1997. Aguilera greets every day with a grin on his face
and a joke up his sleeve. His drawings of monsters, dinosaurs and
fantasy creatures reveal an affinity for the fantastic that is informed
by icons of popular culture.
Since 1988, Aguilera’s works have been
part of numerous group shows at the Creative Growth art galleries.
