Kerry Damianakes has great strength in her hands, which gives her the ability to powerfully manipulate the materials she uses in the production of her art at the Creative Growth Art Center for artists with physical, mental and developmental disabilities in Oakland, CA. Working in a bold and colorful style, she recreates images of her favorite foods. She has a love of clean and simple form bounded by strong, black line work. Her expressionistic drawings of fish, flowers, animals and food reflect her dynamic personality.
